Yep, my 2010 SS, 2013 ZL1, and 2017 ZL1 manual all were in a plastic bag.

I bought a plane pouch from Amazon, then ordered some decals from Ebay. It's better than the plastic bag...

I tossed mine inside a fake leather jacket purchased on Amazon and then put it in the trunk. The reg and ins card stays inside an envelope in the glove box in case I get pulled over. Gives me more room for a gun in the glove box

I used the one that I had leftover from my 1998 Camaro SS to put my ZL1’s manual and other printed items in and put that back in the plastic ziplock bag.
