I removed mine, when I went with the AWE Track Edition Catback with Performance Link Pipes. Have no regrets.

Mine came out when I added the Corsa Cat-back system. I can't say what effect it has, as I did it all at the same time, but I do get quite a bit more snap, crackle, & pop (especially when in cold start mode), sounds amazing.

Doesnt the Borla xpipe (mid pipe) eliminate the secondary cats? it does on the V6 cars and all the C7 corvettes.

AWE Tuning offers the secondary cat delete as an add-on to their catback kits. They call it the Performance Link Pipes. I did that when I did my AWE Resonated Touring setup, sounds mint! Touring is really a misnomer though...it is not quiet!

Not anymore.... Borla succombed to the pressure from the tree huggers and pulled part #60606 about a year ago. I tried to find one left in stock months ago and never succeeded. You can however go with a Corsa double Helix which is still available.

I've read quite a few folks (C7 and ZL1) noting a loss of low end torque a bit down low with the 2nd cat delete on an otherwise stock exhaust. No CEL but when I had my 12 ZL1 I also noticed the same with the 2nd cats gone when i deleted them on the stock exhaust. Interesting and not sure why.

A solid thumbs up for the Corsa double helix. At cruising speeds with the stock suitcase the car is as quiet as stock, and this is with headers. And it is disturbing the peace loud when given full throttle!
