Well it's not really stupid for people to not leave a note. It's actually smart. Why deal with the hassle and loose money when you don't have to.
The thread title should be why are people so dishonest, because let's face it, the majority of people are dishonest to varying degrees.
The vast majority of people will never see a note on there car from the person who hit it.
As much as it sucks, that's life.

What would be cool is if the backup cam in the new camaro had a motion sensor and would record a few min of video when someone is parking behind you. Toss in a front camera and two side ones built into the front side markers.

I'd pay extra for that.

But seriously, this is ridiculous. My wife was getting out of Camaro last night and just about had a heart attack when the door got away from her and almost hit the car next to us. Not only was she worried about our new SS, but she treats everyone's property with respect and would've felt bad damaging someone else's car (if it had happened we would've walked in and tried to find the owner). I just wish everyone felt the same.

Sometimes that's what I envision in my head people do when they get out of their cars.

I am kind of with the OP on this. I hate when I see a new ding on any car, especially mine. Any time I get out of my car, I hold the door and make sure it doesn't hit someones car. However; some things you have no control over and you have to learn to cope.

It's like going to a movie and having to listen to people talk. You can yell at them to shut up, but when you go to another movie, a different person will be doing it.

Sadly, I learned that you can't do anything about it and some people just don't care about other people or their property as much as some of us do.

I am not saying it's ok, but eventually it'll make you if you're not careful.

Just to reiterate what I put in my video...which has one of the best quotes ever regarding this type of dishonesty (or ANY type of dishonesty).

Quote:

David Drumlin: I know you must think this is all very unfair. Maybe
that's an understatement. What you don't know is I agree. I wish the world was a
place where fair was the bottom line, where the kind of idealism you showed at
the hearing was rewarded, not taken advantage of. Unfortunately, we don't live
in that world.

Ellie Arroway: Funny, I've always believed that the world is what we
make of it.
There is nothing more true than that statement. If you feel that that's just the way the world is, then you're likely also a part of the problem.

I have only hit one car in my life in a parking lot, here where I work now. I barely rubbed a car with my right rear bumper on his right rear bumper. No paint was lost, but a little of my paint ended up on his car. No indentation or anything though.

I didn't know whose car it was, but I went to the receptionist, found out...and told the guy and offered to pay for any damages or repairs. He declined saying it wasn't bad at all. Point is...I was honest, and would do that ANYWHERE. Everyone should.

Hi Milk! Sorry about your car, but please wash your pretty baby he/she deserves it. Like you said, all those things can be fixed. Don't Sweat the small stuff. Life is good. Even living among stupid people. You have a Camaro! the baddest, sexiest most fun car on the planet! Enjoy.
And BTW glad to see you on here. Last night there were no mods. I looked in vain for that old "No mods, let's party" thread. LOL

That sux Milk but when milk gets sour make cottage cheese. I'm just kidding trying to make you smile brada. I now how you feel, that is why I have a second car my daily beater my old faithful of 16 yrs. It takes a licken and keeps on ticken. When I feel Allison is getting jealous aka my Camaro. I cheat on my old faithful twice a month to have a fun time with my boy toy, lol. Even though I treat Allison like a lady and park her alone in a safe place in the back were I know people won't seduce her with their filthy paws. Sometimes I'm nice and leave her with a companion like Mr. Aston Martin or Mr. Shelby so they keep each other occupied. However, Allison gets jealous when I look at other eye candy, and she reminds me that I'm the only one for her by showing me love by dissing those boys, lol.
