What i wanted was diagrams of the radio controls! Gzus! JK
What would be nice is to absolutely be able to get a complete mechanics shop manual as soon as it becomes available. No telling what non-dealer shops would do to ruin a good car by not knowing exactly how to service this swiss watch! |

Hay...
Most of your pics are not the 2012 ZL1 LSA engine... I think only the 1st 2 pics are the real deal... The supercharger has changed for 2012... The front view belt layout is all wrong too, as the 2012 ZL1 gets an electric power steering pump, + water pump , alternator, pulleys, specific to the Camaro chassis... New ZL1 specific stainless cast exhaust manifolds to fit the Camaro exhaust... etc , etc , etc This thread shouldn't be a 'Sticky' , unless it's the real deal.... Since your a 'mod' ,change the title of this thread to: General 2009-2012 LSA Engine and Transmission photos (hi-res engine porn) Last edited by 2000Firehawk; 02-11-2011 at 11:38 AM. |

I know. But it is the exact same engine except for very minor components. The supercharger is the same, the only difference in the top is the color of the intercooler cover. Trust me I know. I will update with actual ZL1 LSA pics as soon as they become available.

We have that nice ZL1 LSA blow-up though I'm sure that MG9 is going to be exactly the same as CTS-V, too. If I run across something, before you find it, I'll send it to ya'. You KNOW I'll be looking
Like Brando', I will be making sex it my engine, too, LOL!

Quote:
These are the differences ■Black intercooler housing with unique heat exchanger and plumbing to accommodate the Camaro engine compartment ■Cast stainless steel exhaust manifolds for enhanced thermal management ■Camaro-specific oil pan ■Revised accessory drive with unique alternator and air conditioning compressor ■Idler pulley in place of the conventional power steering pump pulley, because of the use of electric power steering ■Special engine cover in red So the only visible differences are in the first three full engine pics, which clearly have wither the Cadillac emblem or the white intercooler housing that we all know belongs to the CTS-V. EVERYTHING ELSE IS THE SAME. The block, heads, crank, etc. IS THE SAME AS THE ZL1 LSA. So we are using these for now since we don't have pictures of the full ZL1 engine. |
