Supercharging

Is it worth getting a supercharger on a 2016 v6 Camaro? Or is it smarter to just trade in and get a v8? Also is Procharger a good one or is there even a good supercharger for the v6?

That depends on several factors, but in general I'd opt for the V8 if I wanted 450 + horsepower

to the forums, jakell

Check out the LGX section, there are a few threads about this very situation you're in. For example, this is one of the latest: https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=572805

Honestly, the V8 is a smarter choice, you'll keep your warrenty and you'll have a powerful punch. But if you like the sounds of having a supercharger in your car, that's also another factor to consider. A supercharged V6 may alone might not be enought for a v8 unless some extra bolt ons. You have a 2016, I guess look at overkill (if he will answer) and see what he has to offer for you. If you enjoy modding from scratch, vortec superchargers are your best bet but for extra cash for mods, the v8 is a better choice.

I'm looking at the edelbrock stage 1 supercharger for mine.

When you get the v8 you'll end up wanting to supercharge that too so it doesn't really matter, with that being said I wouldn't waste my money upgrading a 6 cylinder if you can afford the v8..

The below is correct, plus you will probably have close to 10k into the modifications on the V6 to get 50 hp increase from a stock LT1 V8.
Not that supercharged V6 isn’t cool

I would find a used 2016-2018 SS and go from there! You will have an easier time and cheaper if you surpercharge the LT1 and get more hp too than you could with the V6!

Agree with above. The V6 is a nice engine but I think you will appreciate the v8 torque. The SS will feel more responsive and powerful under normal driving conditions.
