My headliner is doing the same thing on the passenger side.

Just picked it up from having the headliner replaced. Fits better but a little "fray" at the front as others have mentioned - my original didn't have this but was exposed above the passenger-side window/pillar area.

Think I'll get some of that black rubber U channel trim to put on the open front edge of the headliner.

Mine too......So many things, nothing huge (yet), but man is the build quality on my 7 year old Cayman R 1000x better than the 1LE. The sad part is I paid almost the same for both cars (bought(stole) the Cayman used with 14k miles last year). I love the Camaro, but I am somewhat worried about it's short/long term durability.

Wished I had read this forum before buying my camaro. The dealership knew about the problem but never mentioned it during the buying process. I noticed the headliner problem on the second day. I was given the same option, they will fix it by removing the windshield and give an additional 2 years warranty.

I just had my headliner "fixed" by the dealer yesterday. I failed to ask what exactly they did because I had 100 other questions about some other work they did. I inspected the headliner after I got home and it now is tucked under the molding (i wasn't able to tuck it in before). I guess I will see how it holds.

Just took my car in to deal with the issue. Not sure if its dealer BS or real, but they said they compared mine to another Camaro and the headliner's were different. They ordered a new one and will have to bring it back in. So maybe GM has a new version that fixes the issue.

I know this is an old thread but the same thing that happened to the OP happened to me. Noticed it a few days after I bought my car. I took it into the service dept and GM is going to replace the headliner but there are apparently no '18 headliners to be had right now? '17 has a different part number otherwise he said they would have used one of those. Not a huge deal but now that I've seen it, it can't be unseen

Mine was sagging a little at the front on the pass side so I reluctantly had it replaced about a month ago. Wish I would have just tried to 3M tape it instead. They tried to install the new one without pulling the windshield, but that was a no go. Windshield has to be pulled. New one went in fine and fit was perfect...up until this past week. The rear has fallen down like in post 15. I took it in yesterday and they attempted a bush fix with a couple of spacer blocks and headliner grade velcro. Looked good so I headed back to work. Came out that evening and the velcro adhesive had failed where it was stuck to the roof. Going back next week so they can add a couple more attachment points and stick the blocks to the roof with 3M trim tape. If that doesn't work, then I guess it's another headliner. I'll keep you posted on the result. Just out of curiosity, how many with this issue are sunroof cars compared to reverse mohawk? Mine's a sunroof.
