Mine's a 2017. I haven't read any of the documentation yet. Getting it Monday. I'm OK with the starter relay, just that it will be easier to spot. Find out next week.

I know you said you would clear out your garage, but in the meantime do you think you can park one of your other cars perpendicular to the driveway to barricade your Camaro in? Maybe it won’t do much but maybe it will make a thief think twice or at least slow them down.

They've been using those in the UK to combat this, too.

Either way, I do like your idea. It would be nice if the starter relay was in the trunk, as opposed to under the hood, which might make thieves less likely to find it.

Got it today. The documentation includes a vehicle specific sheet that shows the location of the relays in the fuse box for the Camaro.. They show both the front and rear box and diagrams of both relays. It says Starter - 2016-2024, Fuel Pump - 2017-2024. I'm going to try both ways.
They also have a diagram for 2010-2015 but it doesn't say which relay is indicated. I believe someone posted that the Gen 5 only had one of the relays, not sure which one. I would assume the starter.

Documentation included for 2022 also said starter relay. I'm a bit concerned about it sticking out like a sore thumb at the only sized relay like that that is different.

Has me considering ways to lock down my fuse box.

Security screws? Locked bracket?

Security is best in layers. 2 is 1, 1 is none.

I'm waiting for my IGLA installer to recover from the flu, then in it goes, along with a hidden hardwired GPS tracker.

Starter relay is recommended for Camaros with the auto trans, fuel pump relay for manuals. This is why both show (almost) the entire range of 6th gen model years.

Yeah, it sucks that their smart relay is generic, but it is used across a number of manufacturers, so somewhat understandable. Maybe you could spray a GM logo and part/serial numbers on it with some ebay stencil and white paint?

Yeah I've been trying to come up with a solution. I was thinking maybe finding some type of permanent sticker to just cover all of them. Or paint.

Some security fasteners may work on the fuse box itself, too.

Is there any functional reason for the auto vs. manual distinction?

I finally found an installer that is in my area...it is in one of the highest crime rate areas of the city. Used to work in that part of town. It's a sketchy looking auto electronics shop with subpar reviews. Needless to say, I'm hoping someone else is an authorized dealer in my area sometime soon so my poor car isn't stolen from the shop installing the security system in the first place.

Actually, I read their website again and they only recommend the fuel pump relay for pre-2002 manual trans cars. No, I don't know the reason behind the distinction.
