Ported TB
I went with the Katech Ported TB Cost: $250 from Weapon X Motorsports. I installed it in less than 10 mins and had no issues whatsoever. I do feel a better throttle response even with the stock intake.

ZL1 1LE Solid Bushings Rear Cradle kit
Also I replaced the factory rubber bushings for the ZL1 1LE rear cradle kit from Chevrolet Performance. These bushings were featured on the 2017 ZL1 Drag Concept Car at SEMA 2017. Cost: $415 shipped Labor: $1,000 installed at Riddin High Sittin Low in Tracy, CA. The does feel stiffer but in a good way. I can feel the car move a lot better.

Congrats bro! When I see threads like this i just go to the garage and pet my Z and say 1 day baby...one day...lol I make a lil over 140k, but still cant see dropping 4k on exhaust alone....Im coming from an Evo that made 500hp on the money used for the exhaust here....lol Eventually Ill break down, and by eventually I mean roll racing someone and finally losing...and will then not give a damn on money spent, just not to lose to "That" car again. Then the circle repeats itself over and over...lol Gosh I love cars!

The cost for exhaust is ridiculous I agree, but I'm super picky about how my car sounds. i will pay extra for the car to sound the way i like it. It's all about the experience.

Borla Atak Cat-Back Exhaust
Ok I finally got the Borla Atak Cat-Back Exhaust Part# 140727 in yesterday. I also installed it yesterday. It turned out really well. I did have a brain fart for a Moment tho. Borla sends you 2-2.75" hardware clamps and the rest are 3". Well I figured that out after I fought the stupid clamps for like an hour. Also I did have one opening of a pipe be compressed too small to marry another pipe into. I had to expand it a little bit. Other than that the install went good. The car is much louder for sure but it sounds Awesome!!! Once my neighbors wake up I'll pull the car out, take a video and more pics.

Nice build.
With the drag look I was expecting to hear a big cam - not knocking your ride though. |

Weapon X 5" CAI
The install was a pain but at least it looks good! The vacuum hose Weapon X Supplies is too short so I had to run to the auto parts store and pick up some 3/8" hose. Also if you can get a second set of hands to help adjust the MAF angle it will be a lot easier. I did it by myself but it sucked big time.
Hopefully Tomorrow the car will go on the Dyno for tuning. My ECU was sent out to be unlocked but it's not done yet. |
