This one just snapped on. I plan on getting one that goes into the tow hook spot.

I regret it is January... Apart from that I'm a happy boy.

I have no regrets about this generation ZL1. I also ordered an M6 because that's what I prefer in a muscle car. This car is head and shoulders above the 2015 ZL1 that I traded in on it. I absolutely love the color that I ordered. I haven't seen another Garnet Red one yet on this site or anywhere else in the hands of a private owner. I've only seen a spy shot of one with manufacturer plates on it. I understand the hesitations from parents with kids. This isn't a family transportation vehicle. Just driver's and passenger's comfortably. I don't see myself every getting rid of this car.

I got the M6 because I wanted a manual transmission. Period. The Camaro is the best manual transmission coupe that I could find. No regrets.

I am most impressed by the clutch: Its action is the lightest and smoothest of any high-powered vehicle I have owned or driven. Shifting action is good, too. Not the best, but near the top.

Your car looks absolutely stunning! There is a Jay Leno video with Brad Paisley driving a Garnet Red ZL1.

Other than that, love hearing how everyone is loving the car!
The problem I encountered getting my grandson in the back seat is the front seat belt being in the way. Wasn't sure if he should go over or under the belt. On the 5th gen, you could at least unsnap the belt from the front seat holder and move it out of the way. I get the feeling that Chevy didn't expect 6th gen owners ever using the back seat for it's intended purpose.

That's both funny and worrisome at the same time. Lol

I read that the transmission and shifter are pretty old hardware. If so, are they the same as the C6 Z06? If so, I loved it on the car I drove at a Bondurant course a few years ago.

When I test drive the Manual and Auto back to back (2SS, not ZL1) I could not come to terms with how slow the auto box was at shifting down gears when I asked it to drop a few. It was like it was getting confused.

I am coming from a Dual clutch semi auto European Audi RS4 which shifted gears in milliseconds. I really did not like the Auto, perhaps the A10 will be better.

If I am racing towards a corner and want to break hard and drop gears the last thing I need is the auto box only catching up with me once I have entered the turn and unbalancing the car.

Does anyone else feel the same, I appreciate that in a straight line it might be quicker than a manual but I come from the school that says corners are part of driving and real speed is held through them?

I ordered the M6

I have no interest in the A10

Love it, would not change a thing!

The reason why I started this thread is because I originally wanted an auto. I drag race my cars so et is very important. With that being said, I also want to have fun when I'm not on the track. Seeing that the a10 is going to be in such demand and difficult to find at first, I've since considered the manual. I have had more fun racing my manual 4th gen Camaro than I have my 5th gen ZL1. I do love a challenge though it can be a bit frustrating at times, but this auto vs manual thing has me all over the place.

I don't think you can beat the auto for racing. Plus it's always better to go with your first idea. Hang in there. You will find just the right car with the A10

I definitely understand your indecisiveness. I also go back and forth over which transmission when there is currently the exact color ZL1 I want with all the options sitting on the lot as I type this. But then I realize not only would my wife be unable to enjoy a car she is paying for, but also the fact that deep down I know the excitement of the manual will wear thin quickly with all the traffic to and from work here in Dallas. Even with all that said, I'm tempted to jump on the manual right now.

No regrets at all for me. I love shifting myself and am not going to drag race. Would like to get on a road course some day but that is unlikely.
