Maybe it's different on 3/4 tons. Every 1/2 ton (even GMCs) I have seen needs to be LTZ-SLT-AT4-High Country-Denali to get the vented seats

The rear sway bar had enough room for me to drill a new mounting hole for the link effectively making the bar stiffer. Wow what a difference! The car feels alot more like my camaro going in to the corners. Great turn in. Slightly loose while powering out. Cant wait to test this set up on a familiar track to see how it helps my lap times

Great write up Tomster - thanks so much for sharing!

Cadillac can sometimes be boring as mud, sometimes brilliant. Remember these nutters once had a V16!

Just for the heck of it, here's Douggie's vid on the CTS-V, "quirks and features".

That's awesome that you thought of that and followed through with the drilling. Some people would say you are absolutely crazy, but not me.

Man...if the CTS-V came with a 6MT, I would have to consider it. Enjoy the car!

Watch that heat soak in the V. When I did training on these cars at CoTA, several Vs had to pull off because they were going into limp mode due to overheating.

Glad you like it though. They're really fun cars. Interestingly enough, I walked away from the V track event liking the ATS-V better overall. The manual was probably a big part of that.

Haven't had a problem yet and it was 90 out last track day. Really should perform the same as a stock A10 ZL1 since the cooling systems and front openings almost the same.

Was this CTS-V engine or trans overheat? Or both?
