Does anyone know when and where the next auto show will be that will feature the ZL1? Our auto shows in Hawaii, hate to say it, suck.

Biggest question. Can you get a ZL1 without a sunroof. At 6'7" I fit in my SS nicely. With sun roof I fit nicely in a pick up truck

Not a problem how tall you are, just roll back the roof and put your head through! You might need googles!


The sunroof is an option. It was $900 on Gen 5's.

To those Alcantara (synthetic suede) non-believers, don't knock it if you haven't experienced it yet. My ZL1 with suede steering wheel, shifter, and Recaro inserts is my first suede interior - have always been a leather junkie. But from now on alcantara will be my interior first choice - LOVE the soft touch materials, love the seat comfort and not frying sitting down in shorts on a hot summer day, no sweaty hands on the steering wheel and shifter, and the huge difference in comfort.

Guess all the more reason to drive the @#&$ out of my Gen5 ZL1 now. Temptation process has begun.

Two questions for your man...
1) How does the suede in your camaro hold up? Some suede gets nasty over time due to bodily friction (this is assuming other crap/food doesn't get on it)....my fear is that the interior of my future zl1 will become like my old couch - dark and grimy :(

2) In some pics (both 5th & 6th gen zl1) the suede looks a little washed out/gray...In person, does it have a "blacker" or darker appearance?
