Will the ZL1 become a classic worth a lot?

Especially with all these CAFE regulations coming, do you guys think that the ZL1 will become a classic car in the future?

Also, what do you guys think of these CAFE regulations.

Well I know there's only 50 of these cars going to be produced for Canada, how many have been produced for 17 in the U.S.? And how likely is it that the V8 goes extinct with these new regulations.

In terms of worth? How much were you hoping it would be worth and when?

From a collectible point of view I would wager the Yenko car would be the smart money.

And the 2045 ZL1 will have a 2000hp hydrogen engine, so much for CAFE.

Indeed...like most other 40yr old muscles. The catch is will it still be like new with low miles in 4 decades?? It's like any & all collectable items. The value is dependent upon: Is it all original & how much has it been used / condition??

My current plan is to keep this 17 & hopefully pass it down to my son...BUT, what is GM gonna do at 2027, etc.?? Good enough for me to turn loose or will I have the ability to store, purchase the up & coming new toys??

I could wear out my keyboard typing out the list of items I should have taken care of & hung onto...hell, I had a mint 1970 Fender Strat in Starburst that never should have left my possession & that is just ONE example of my stupidity/regret.

Sellers remorse with time & hindsight always sucks.

I think ZL1 1LE may be a better bet than regular ZL1, in terms of becoming collectibles, but if I'm buying one, I'll buy it to drive the heck out of it, not to put it under bubble wrap.
