ZL1 front end swap on 2021 LT1?

Has anyone been able to do a ZL1 front end swap on a 2021 LT1? I really dislike the updated 19-21 front ends in general, and wondered how difficult it is to swap ZL1 front bumper / grill and headlights to a 2021 LT1?

There are a few folks who have done that. Either with stock parts or one of the aftermarket ZL1 look-alike fascias. Take a look through the forum here for similar threads.

The hood to fascia profile is not the same between your 2021 SS hood and the ZL1 fascia. That will be the most obvious mismatch. The ZL1 fascia has a different interface to the fenders as well. The ZL1 has unique fenders.
The ZL1 and LT1 have different cooling packages behind the grilles as well, but I do not think the LT1 has anything that would interfere with the ZL1 fascia, but you obviously wont be able to take advantage of all the ducting unless you upgrade those cooling parts too. Assuming you are going for just the cosmetic benefits.
To do it up clean with stock parts your will need:
ZL1 fascia, hood w/ scoop, fenders, rockers, lamps.

Or one of the knock off ZL1 fascias that are designed to match the 2019+ SS Hood.

Now I do not know how compatible the electrical connections are for the lamps and DRLs. That is a whole nother can of worms..

It's a lot more involved than you'd think....

A ZL1-style fascia made for a 2019+ is probably what you want, because the ZL1 fascia is made for the 2016-2018 headlights. Per Gen5DIY, the headlights cannot be swapped due to computer differences, so you would have to modify the bumper cover and grille.

Here is one of the 2019+ options - not sure if there are others:

Or just trade the LT1 in on a ZL1 and problem solved!

Ikon Motorsports now has ZL1 bumper kits for 2019+ but I think it’s for RS or SS headlamp style. My suggestion is to get a GM Gen 2 front Splitter like the pic below. LT1 owners say adding a splitter makes all the difference in how the front end looks.

I can co-sign that statement. I added a carbon fiber splitter to mine and side skirts. Combined with the Riverside Blue Metallic, it looks pretty good.
