Like all y'all reading this thread, I'm sitting here deciding on what skirts to run. ZPirate and Super_Sxxy322 both show that the ACS and C7 products will fit great when installed with care. So many pros and cons.

GM Aero Kit 2nd Gen - $1100

Comes Satin
Matches 1LE Splitter
OEM fit

Does not work with rock guards
Expensive @ ~$1000+

OEM ZL1 - $700

Can find Gloss on EBAY for $500
OEM fit
Solid bottom
Fully reversible
Wider position of lower fender reduces the need for rock guards

Have to have black sprayed with satin clear +$200 by a pro

Removal of rockers is no easy task, and I have done it before on other Camaros. You can repair the distortion in the attach holes but I never feel its back to 100%
Have to modify fender slightly, but no big deal.
(I am very happy with my current rocker fit)

ACS - $750

Comes available in satin
High quality fit

I feel the rear interface below the body line looks a bit odd. Not a deal breaker though.
Will have to get ACS rock guards or modify my current ones that I like.

C7 - $787

High Quality fit
Prefer the closer-to-bodyline fit at the rear

Does not come in satin - +$200 paint

In my mind I have made the decision to go with all of these options at some point in time. So I just sit and spin! Obviously I am over thinking it, its what I do.

Problem is I cant go wrong. I am confident Ill like any of them. Heck, Ive changed my mind twice while typing this out.

What great problems to have. Its just spending that much and wondering if I would have like another option a tiny bit better that makes me freeze.

Certainly lots of options. Two arguments for the ACS side skirts are that they are made to work with the ACS rock guards and they come in satin black to match the other 1LE trim pieces. And honestly the issue with the rear of the ACS side skirts not matching the body line isn't all that noticeable. Although I understand the criticism. And I'm not sure why ACS didn't recognize the issue when they designed the side skirts in the first place.

At the end of the day I decided to go with the OEM ZL1 rockers from eBay. I have no idea how some guys say they did the mod in a matter of a few hours. Took me a whole weekend. But I did have to paint as well. I painted the black part with Rustoleum Trim and Bumper paint in matte black. I first tried an expensive 2k satin clear in a can, and it didn't work out, so I went back to old faithful with the Bumper paint. I used that product on the wheel flares and step bumper on my truck, and it just plain does the business. No fade, its durable, and reasonably priced. Anyway..
I did a hybrid mount on the front fender. I drilled the holes in the fender like the write ups say, but I only used 6mm of spacer instead of the 1/2" offset that others have used. I still employ my EOS rock guards and I did not want them sticking out like dumbo ears.
I am loving the results. It is exactly what I had in mind. Yeah, it was very stressful for me to yank the SS rockers off and carve up the fenders, but I took my time and got it just how I wanted it.
If, for some reason, I want to go back one day, it is very doable to return to stock.
I am positive I would be happy with the C7 or ACS units too, but this is how it worked out, and I am stoked.

Glad you got it to work out the way you wanted it to. Sounds like a lot of work though. Makes me glad I went the ACS route.

BTW I installed ZL1 Addons jacking pads today. While I was under the passenger side I noticed I was missing a rivet in my side skirt. It must have come out. Grabbed my rivet gun and a rivet and replaced it. Then I checked the rivets on the other side too. No other missing rivets. Probably not a bad idea to check them on occasion.

Love the jacking pads. I put 3 on each side so I could also lift both tires on a side with one lift. Was handy for putting the 4 corners up on stands while working on the rockers.
Yeah @ZPirate I have full respect for your install on those ACS units. They look great, and you got them on flawlessly. Thanks for helping me through this process.

The jacking pads are nice. I may have to consider adding a third pad.

You are welcome. Glad to offer any assistance I can. That's what I like about car forums, lots of knowledge available from people with prior experience. And for the most part the members here are very helpful.
