2.5l tb on stock charge pipe

I'm sure the titles gives it away but I am wondering if a 2.5l throttle body will fit with the stock charge pipe?

EDIT, the front side of the 2.0 and 2.5 throttle bodys are the same size. HOWEVER the stock charge pipe will not lock on to the 2.5 tb due to machining differences. It will NOT work with 2.5 tb

No, the stock throttle body secures to the stock charge pipe with a "snap on" twist lock release type of affair. The front of the 2.5 throttle body does not have the appropriate "lock" stuff machined into it like the 2.0 TB does.

You can however use a silicone coupler to connect to the throttle body, and put it OVER the stock charge pipe end and use clamps to secure it... It can be finicky to get it to seal buy it will work. Both myself and oemtech did this with the 72mm tb for a while before I got the charge pipes made. I will take some pics and post the difference soon

See my post above. The fronts are different, the 2.5 tb has no locking area built into it like the 2.0 tb does.

Well, I think Jason answered your question above. This is the first I read about that.

It might be easier just to put your stock tb back on and wait for your charge pipe. Sorry man, I had no idea about the fitting differences of the two tb's.

It's alright bro, I got a coupler now and if I'm not sure about how well it's sealed I'll throw the old tb on

Thanks gino, I edited my post above to reflect that it will not work.

Damn I decided to just put the stock one on instead until the charge pipes arrives, I'm getting way to ahead of my self, but rpm takes forever to ship
