PTM Race mode

Was at Sebring today, finally felt I was ready for race mode in PTM, shaved 3.5 seconds off. Glad I waited to build skills, but wow what a difference...

2:35, which I know is still slow compared to others. Each time out getting better and having fun.

If you want someone to ride with you, I'm willing. You could ride with me in my 1LE also.

I'm still not as fast as Jim though

2:35 isn't bad though either way. What group did you run with? Which run group?

Don't worry about being a novice. I use to bracket race years ago, before I had 3 kids, this was new to me also. Read up, a lot of good advice from folks who have been doing this a while. Recommend you do hire an instructor for at least a half day, that will set you up with good habits from the start. Each event you will expand your capability and learn more about the car. Don't worry about being fast, be smooth and safe, speed will come. In a year, I'm amazed at my own improvement, and still have much to learn which is why this is so fun. Weird part, also believe it has made me a better and more observant driver on the street...

No worries. If you are ever at a Chin event, feel free to stop by and jump in the passenger seat.

Which group? I generally only run with Chin and PCA at Sebring. IMO Chin offers better instructors.

I'll be at the PCA event on 9/15-16 but no passengers are allowed.. but if anyone else will be there come by and say Hi!

Edit: I will likely do the Chin event November 3/4 (not sure which day, but probably Saturday). Dec 8/9.. might be at Barber racing. Will likely do the Chin thanksgiving event at Road Atlanta also, it will be my first time at RA with the 1LE.

this is awesome. I am looking at going up to sebring for my first track day in the coming months. I need to get to 1500 miles first though. I have been reading a lot and watching people's pdr of running at sebring so I can learn the track a little bit.

I encourage you to hop on Forza, or if there is anyone in your area you can make friends with a sim or iracer, go run the track for a few hours. It will help significantly.
