Latest update from today..... 2 of 4 main bearings failed causing scoring in cylinder walls, on piston skirts, rods, rod bearings, other 2 main bearings, crank, etc.....rod journals are all scored... Engine is not repairable. Block is shot. Needs a complete new engine.

Haven't gotten the call from GM yet. I expect they will call tomorrow to find out where this is all going....either they take the car back or I file claim with NYS under the lemon law. Either way, the car is getting replaced. They can do it the easy way, or the hard way. Their choice at this point. If they decide to make me file a claim, I will get my money back and go back to Mopar. Lets see if they want to keep me as a customer or not. Answer coming soon....

I see you've taken a lot of grief from some of the members here.
If it was my car, I would do the same

Regardless of whether the issues are related, I would want a new car after all this trouble... I would fight it as a lemon.
That's just too many problems to think that any repair or replacement will be the last one.

Agree. Either way, I will NOT be taking possession of this car again. It will be a new Camaro, or will go back to a Challenger or Charger.

That's the plan. I know being biligerant will not get me anywhere and is counter productive. Stay calm and being civil will get me further.

And the story continues... we are at the send an engineer from Michigan to look at the car stage. Dealer and dealer rep working on that next, to certify it is possessed....

I would get with the higher ups at the dealer and see if they can help get you out of this thing. The service manager can request help from his GM Rep in the form of trade assistance money to get you into a new one. I certainly wouldn't want to keep a car with this many issues so I feel your pain. I hope your dealer can help you get out of that one and into something new.

The owner is aware of what's going on. He really is out of the situation until I see what GM is offering first. Still waiting for that call....Dealer rep is new and has NO STONES....I'm dealing with her boss now...

Latest update from today.....Disclaimer-sit down first.......They have to order and install a brand new engine before the process will go forward. ??????????????????????????????? I just don't get it.......

Yes, but they also asked me to be patient and give them a chance before doing that and I would be happy with the end result. I did tell them I would give them a chance. I just don't get why they are bothering.....the lemon law route is if they do not make a satisfactory offer to me. Either way is a positive ending for me so I'm going to see what the offer is....
