Understeer? My Chevy ll pictured. Running a spool. The front tires would "lay rubber" turning into a driveway. It only wanted to go straight.

Cosmetic. Same a fake hood vents, because real race cars have (or need) it. I personally think wide tires look good

I love watching the hot engine bay air coming through the vents on a cold day. Makes the 16-18 SS look like a dragon
