It’s actually about 6-7 inches of additional airflow, and in extreme conditions (track or high ambient temperatures) it helps. Even though it flows into the same area as the upper grill, Chevy didn’t just spend the extra money on punching a hole in the bumper face for good looks.
As far as the front license plate “blocking” airflow, of course it does (a little) - but I’m sure the car was tested with the front plate holder in place to make sure it doesn’t hinder adequate airflow. Running without the front plate will give the car a little bonus airflow - but, as a bonus, it also will increase the front end’s good looks. |

Checked auto trader and GM sites, Only 14 2019 SS coupes in San Antonio. Mostly black or gray. Two white, two red. Not exactly a large inventory. Must be low dealer orders that is bothering GM. Or Becky is selling all the Camaros here for them.

I think the original flow-tie on the ZL1 actually did improve airflow through the narrow top grill opening. The bow tie blocks the whole center of the upper grill.
On the refresh it's merely a gimmick. It puts a little hole in the center of the bumper cross bar, a space that has and will always be blocked due to crash standards.

I don't know what they even need a 7th gen for. They're generations ahead of the Mustang and Challenger while sitting very close to the Corvette on the track. Why start all over again? All the Camaro needs is the right tweaks to the styling and pricing to be more competitive in sales. |

I actually find that very believable. Only it doesn't look good at all.

First I have seen myself, and with a Front plate. I'm not trying to beat a dead horse or make a joke but I saw it in the peripheral vision of my eye, at first I thought "Charger", until I turned my head
