Enjoy! Read an interesting article on break in. Like you have done, first 500 miles do some 3-4000 pulls in say 2nd and then engine break down. Supposable sets the rings in the first 500 miles.

I know it is a pain, but keep the stock exhaust. Just in case you still have the ride in 25 years.

That said, imo it could be better and I wish they stayed away from the whole blacked out front bumper look, which btw, I believe was spawned by Mitsu EVO.

I wont be one of those mind changers. That EVO looks more cohesive, and it works for what it is. I love the hood on the new SS, Im not bothered by the taillights or the flowtie placement. They lose me at those side flaps that have no flow. It makes it look like a car that is having front end work being done and is partly disassembled. The good thing is im sure there will be aftermarket frontends out there to make it look as good as it will perform.
Im happy that the SS guys finally getting the A10. Im happy with it in my Camaro so far.

The refresh is like when your wife comes home with a new hair style.

You go, OMG! (under your breath is good) But in a few days you can't picture her with the old hair style!

Although it looks dorky, the panel/grill directs the incoming air exactly where the engineers want it to go for aero reasons. If left wide open, all that high-pressure air going into the engine compartment would cause real handling problems. The air needs to flow around the body, not through it, with just enough getting in for engine-cooling requirements.

Of course, a completely redesigned front end would have been better, but federal bumper standards and lighting requirements - plus Ford’s bean counters - made that a non-starter. For them, a plastic block-off plate was the only reasonable (economical) solution.
I meant the way it’s a continuation of the open mesh pattern but is actually and obviously blocked. It look dorky. The SS is all open. Even the sides direct air to the aux coolers and brakes.

Looks aside, I wouldn't be too critical of the Mustang....If the large grille opening isn't needed for cooling, blocking off what is not needed likely improves gas mileage and aerodynamics.

One of the Chevy SUVs, I think the new Blazer, has a feature that opens and closes off the top opening in front to improve aero and mileage.

Thanks....I wish I had been first, but it wasn't in the cards.

Yep, I plan to set it in a corner of the garage for safe keeping.

I parked at the charging station in front of the GM Renaissance Center and saw this on display in the atrium. Also saw the actual 2016 Pace Car that Roger Penske drove to pace the race.

You can see my Volt parked at the charging station in one of the shots. Free parking plus top off my “tank” instead of paying $30-50 for parking.

The front-end designs are overly complicated, with DRLs that just seem to stop in the middle of nowhere, odd painted and/or black shapes all over the place and a bowtie position that looks like an afterthought. (Maybe it’s supposed to be hidden behind the license plate.) From the back, the taillights look like safety goggles (or Minion eyes) that were chosen because they fit the same sheetmetal cutouts used for the ‘16-‘18 taillights. (Usually the Minions make me laugh, but not here.)

I hope Chevy has an update ready for the ‘20 models, because IMHO these ugly suckers are not going to gain sales against the Challengers and Mustangs. The ‘19 Camaro we thought would be headed for our garage is not going to happen.
The 10 speed alone in the SS was the only reason I would have wanted a 2019, I would have to do some creative front end work to make it liveable for me. What a shame Camaro, because sales are tanking on the 6th gen and 2019 will not improve that, it will further hurt sales. Camaro had there chance make the great car better and even look better, totally blew it.
I just sold my 2016 1LT car , and always had the 2019 10 speed SS as a possible replacement in my head...if I can buy one right I still may.

I saw several 2019 today, I thought that I can live with the RS, but I don’t really like it. The SS is still ugly as hell. I can also say that next to a 5th gen and 6th gen, 2019 doesn’t belong to the same croud.

I will take better pictures in the light tomorrow, maybe a video too.

Black SS is ok-ish at night. Still I don’t understand what they were thinking or what kind of croud their focus group was.

I like the hood, I’m meh with the “bubble” lights.
