What about forward traction loss with lowering springs? Since the angle of the rear trailing arm becomes lower when the car is lowered won't that affect how the tire bites from, say, a drag race launch?

Lowering will affect launch bite, yes. But there's a little more to it than just the trailing arm's inclination. Also, the amount of rearward load transfer will drop . . . precisely because you lowered the CG.

Correct. If 1/4 mile numbers are your priority then lowering springs are not what you want. Coil overs are the best route because you can fine tune the dampening to optimize weight transfer.

What size wheel spacers do you have?
Your car looks great!

So, I am putting the 1LE suspension on my car over the winter. All of the aggressive alignment specs I am finding are saying to use 1" of drop with them.

What springs do you recommend to go with the 1LE Struts? The 1LE/SS springs are already installed, obviously. But figure would be easy to swap them out with the struts OFF of the car right now.

2015 1LS V6, if that helps

A 1" drop causes cambers to go a little further negative than their 'before lowering' settings, so it may be partly a case of slightly more negative settings being easier to achieve once your car is lowered.

Or it may be based on the assumption that most drivers who drive the corners aggressively enough, often enough, to clearly benefit from running cambers more negative than stock are likely to have installed "lowering springs".

It is entirely possible to be a hard enough driver through the turns to need a little extra negative camber without being lowered. Trust me on this.

Beyond asking what your future driving plans include (such as autocross, road course, drag, etc.), whether you want a stockish ride or something a bit firmer, or if it's mostly just for appearance, I think I'll leave the question of which springs to others . . .

I responded to your PM but for others:

Wheels and tires are stock sizes
Spacers are H and R 23 mm on all 4

The rear is a bit aggressive - 20 mm would be perfect but would have required me to cut the studs which I wanted to avoid. Front at 23 mm is perfect. This is a "stop gap" as I try to decide what wheel package to go with

What brand of springs were used? I assume BMR?
