My cats looked great after 12,500 miles and 180 passes down the track. Its all about tuning. The canned tunes are usually set up rich for safety but too much fuel is a cat killer.

For sure.

Drag racing and road course work are also going to be a big variable. 180 passes down the track is a lot of drivetrain shock, but it's still only 30 minutes of WOT time, with ample cool-down between runs.

At VIR and NJMP, I was north of 150 at least once per minute for 20 minutes at a time.

Tuning plays a big part and usage. Turning off cat/over temp on a car with cats is a big no and many tuners do this. personally, I would source a set of bolt-in cat delete pipes for track days.

if your putting a SC on a SS you could have bought a ZL1. Think about it. your going to be what a few grand short and not have the suspension, brakes, tires, wheels, or ediff. well unless you bought a 1LE. a 2SS is a ZL1 without the SC and forged bottom end. I just did everything in my sig and could have bought a ZL1 for the same money and I still have nothing close to a ZL1. Took it in for a tune today and guy offered to buy it. If he does buy it im buying a ZL1.

Full 1LE suspension, with BMR adjustable sway bars and links, GM aluminum cradle bushings, Hurst shifter with lighter reverse spring, TWM shifter knob, Tick level 1 transmission. I should have bought a ZL1

the only thing I regret from the Efroce stage 2 install on my vette was removing the cats... The smell sometimes is horrible... my tuner says it's the nature of the beast. He also sold me on the bit about heat destroying the cats. My buddy has the same set up as I do minus the cats and he has had no issues and no stinking smell. I say keep the cats unless you going for some 700 -1K HP build.

Primary, the secondaries are not that restrictive and they are not made like a regular cat.

Just the primary, I am trying to keep the car rasp free and not extremely loud if possible. I drove catless 3" exhaust my whole life lol. Nowadays I don't feel its worth the extra 15whp or so. I don't even want to remove the cat, but I don't want to have issues. Still waiting for them to receive my supercharger, the wait is torcher. Its a month as of today i have been waiting

Five months later and they are finally supposed to take my car in next week. Hopefully, they don't delay it again. Now I am debating on doing the fuel pump since he said it would be cheaper now since they are installing the blower. Is the fuel pump worth it to do without injectors? I don't plan on raising the boost and would like to keep the car under 600whp to be safe

The fuel pump won't hurt, but you ought to do the injectors while you're in there if you're already adding the LT4 fuel pump.

If you're going to stick to LT1 injectors, sell the LT4 HPFP and recoup some costs.

The LT4 pump, injectors, and voltage booster on my car with E85 was good for 660+ whp in 90 degree weather (I have supporting mods too, but a stock LT1 from valve cover to oil pan).

All JMHO.
