Trouble with PDR files
Took the car today for the first time (and my god what a beast).
Recorded 3 sessions with the PDR on an SD card, but I cant open the files on a computer. I tried both a mac and windows, with various SD card readers and nothing. Went back to the car and i can still see the files in the PDR app. on windows it tells me i need to format the card to be able to use it, but i know that will delete all the files. any advice? |

It’s very quirky. You have to format it in FAT32 before you use it. And if you are reviewing the files on an iMac you have to convert them to a different video file or you won’t get any audio on them. At least this is what I have to do.

As CW3SF mentioned the SD card should be formatted in FAT32. But, I think that what you have been able to see so far, the card is correct. If you are unaware, Cosworth has software that will open up all kinds of data from your file:
https://www.cosworth.com/capabilitie.../pdr-software/ You'll want the Toolbox for the Cadillac.

Out of curiosity. If you right click on the file, click properties..... what is listed in the type of file field.

Problem was there was no files on the card. Both on mac and windows card showed completely blank. Was able to access the files with data recovery tools but haven’t really been able to open them.

Sounds like they will be lost. Just reformat it to FAT32 and you'll be able to view them on a laptop or in the car and use a SD card larger than 32GB. Use EaseUS Partition Manager. It's free.
