Enough is never enough.. Once you get started there is always more to be had.. LOL! My TBSS put down 460rwhp on a Mustang Dyno with just a Trick Flow head/cam package and bolt-ons and now I'm doing a 402 Stroker motor.. LOL! Then again, I AM driving a 4500lb brick on wheels.
It's a lot like getting a tattoo.. 1 just never works because then you're lopsided and need to add another to even you out. |

Yes, after the maggie install it was on the dyno for tuning and produced basically what I said above. Although I don't know my stock numbers, the numbers while tuning with the maggie, cai, and long tubes were 457 max power and 439 max torque STD. and that's enough to run faster than the 11.49 NHRA cage rule allows. |

Like I said in a previous post, I don't know for sure what it is truly making and I really don't much care. It is whatever it is. I do know it's too much for the P Zero's to cope with. Yes, one outing and four passes before experiencing wheel hop. I couldn't do much with the 275 Pirelli's. Two second 60" times, hitting the rev limiter, short shifting first to second....not much fun but it still run 11.8 @ 121 mph. |

you need fuel on your upper rpm's a ton of flutter shows you are leaning out and retard is kicking in. That will be your next upgrade LPE dual fuel pump upgrade.

Because you can never pull away from a mustang fast enough. 500 will pull away a substantial amount. From a stock or bolt on car that is.

some people just like having that much power on tap. Some people like having that much power to utilize it, some people like it just to have it.
Some people find more joy out of building the car than actually racing it.[/QUOTE] that the truth rather its a v8 or v6 i like a well built car and it a fun hobby. Last edited by hunterv6; 12-27-2010 at 11:14 AM. Reason: miss quote |

My previous car -- L99 Camaro -- had 470 rwhp, and it was very easy to manage.
I could mash the gas from a complete stop and I would get wheel spin, but if I modulated the throttle with finesse, I could acheive a very clean launch. My car would not break loose very easy from 30-40 mph rolls. When I installed LT's, my car could break loose easier, but the power was higher than 470 rwhp (couldn't dyno it completely, so I don't know how much power it was truly making, but traction became more of a problem, but an easy problem to manage at my power level). With the weight of the Camaro, 500 rwhp is definitely managable and is very daily drivable and can be utilized plenty on the street -- safely I might add. But, like others have said, 400 rwhp would be fun too. In fact, that's how much rwhp my current car has and it's plenty fast for me. In fact, because I don't have an LSD yet, my car has horrible traction problems as is, and I have to be careful or else my car will go sideways if I mash the gas from 0-40 mph (on cold nights). |

Assume, the torque converter is stock. I'm really curious. |
