What else do these cars need to get ready for the track?

how is the stock brake fluid and pads? I know the pads cannot be real track pads because they are way to quiet for the street. Ive had a few track days and tons of autocross under my belt. will i overheat the pads on track? i have never tracked a car this heavy before and i do not want to ruin a track day because of fade.

Brake fluid and track alignment.
Done.

Oh, yeah.
1500 mile break in, a diff fluid change, and bed the pads.

What Boost Creep said.

I did Castrol SRF and GM Track Alignment. Ready, Set, GO!

OEM pads are magic. Best all-around pad I have ever used.

Like others have said, fluid (I use SRF, also) and alignment.

Follow the Track prep guide and it's good to go. Track alignment is optional if you don't track very often, oil and brake fluid are not. Recommend SRF brake fluid and do a flush including ABS. Also change the trans and diff fluid if it hasn't been done lately.

Great guide - haven't seen this version before. Thx for posting it!

And, of course, echo all the recommendations per the above, plus bedding in the pads (but that goes without saying). Btw ive always used Frodo's recommendation per their website vs GM's (which seems a colossal overkill imo).

Ditto what others are saying; only need break-in, fluids, and alignment per the track prep guide. OEM pads will be just fine on track.

The Chevy track prep guide is pretty conservative on the camber numbers. Most have found maxing out the front as PBS up there said will work best. The front will usually max between -2.4 and -2.6. -1.6 seems to work really well on the rear.

kropscamaro16 has a good point, make sure you have the GM or good aftermarket tow hook like ZL1addons and its installed before you go out on track. Most groups require one.
