At these prices, I wonder what my no flaws Sunday cruiser 2021 with 2,600 miles is worth

Went back and looked, buyers pay a 5% fee to BAT so even if it had sold for $45,250, the buyer would have been in it for around $47.5+. An offer of $47K would have put the buyer in at $49K+ with the fee. Again I think you are spot on m6-lt1

I sold my 23 2SS 1LE 6M in rapid back in spring for 58k PP. It had PDR and under 100 miles, perfect condtion. It took me five months to sell. I think the market is tougher now, some of these folks listing their 3-4 year old 1SS 1LE's for 45k are in for a wait, same as the one's asking 3k over window for same 2-3 year old ZL1's with mileage. Maybe after the election and or rate cuts..

I spotted a couple SS's at the dealership when they dropped me off to pick up my car.
I had to drive back when I had time to look at them. Both were 2022, one a vert SS, one a coupe SS 1LE. They wanted 63k CDN, didn't matter which one. I didn't check the mileage. The SS looked in decent condition, but man, the 1LE definitely looked used. Had new tires(which means definitely some miles or hard track time), but they put 285's all around, so they were good and stretched on the rears. Some dings in the paint, steering wheel, shifter, seats, and knee bumpers all looked quite worn, some curb rash. Makes me feel like I got a deal, but man that's rough |

I think people are getting wise to it though, at least around here. There are several V8 2024 Mustangs that they can't move at the Ford dealer near me, even after discounts. There's also a bunch of 2023 392's that are getting cobwebs on them. They've been on the lot for almost 2 years! Way too much markup on all of these cars, both new and used.

So I'm amazed at the level of detail you guys can see in those pics! Also, I considered the 1LE to be a track oriented "tool"- hence the flat black hood and manual trans only (am I mistaken on that?), and I didn't expect a sunroof option to be available for the same reason.
But $54K is too much money IMHO. Got my (intentionally) low option 1SS in'17 for less than $40K. Don't think Chevy had offered the 1LE (I took delivery in early 2017) option, O/W likely would have taken that instead but not with a sunroof . Also gotta ask Farmer what his commission is... I won't open links from members I don't know, so... I figure you got sumthin' coming F/F! |

Yeah it amazes me people will pay so much over MSRP. I paid exactly what the window sticker said, not a cent more. Not to mention I'll put my "base" 1SS up against a new Mustang any day. Better all around performance for 10k less.

My ex stormed off, and even knowing I was getting screwed by the dealer, and the wrath of my ex when we got home, I got it. But 1k is nothing. Some of the markups now are crazy. And I agree on the 1SS. Hell, I got mine in October 2016, and they had a GM 20 percent off voucher or some deal to move it to make way for the 2017s. I think it was pushing 41k, and I got it for around 32.5. Wish those deals could still be found and the Camaro didn't become extinct. Great damn cars. |

The biggest thing is the "paying more then the car was new for a used vehicle". If it looks like new, then it's not quite as worthy to dunk on. However, when you ask that sort of price, it (in my opinion) demands higher scrutiny. Those 2022 cars I was looking at were $63k, my 2023 brand new was $59k after options (The sticker price, I paid a bit less). |

I bought a 2018 2SS 1LE with a little over 12k miles late last year for just under $39k. I love my car, but there's no way I'd spend $16k+ more for basically the same thing, especially with more mileage. I'd find an extra $5k in my budget to get the equivalent condition ZL1.

I think something strange has happened with used car prices ever since the COVID pandemic. I'm not talking about elevated prices or used car prices being higher than new car prices. It used to be that vehicle depreciation was predictable and directly related to a vehicles age, with each passing year of age resulting in another X% loss of value. These days it seems like used vehicles of a given model within a 3-4 year spread (say 4 years to 8 years old) can all have the same selling price. Like the model generation is dictating the price rather than the age and therefore likelihood of more expensive problems developing. |
