Exclamation Can A PDR Shop Pull This Dent Out?

So I found this pro PDR shop near me and I wanna get this dent out of my 1/4 panel. I know it's in a bad spot and on the crease also, I don't think it's reachable from behind I checked but can someone confirm? I don't know much about PDR but I was on their website and it said something about drilling. Would my situation require drilling and if so do you guys recommend that? Not really wanting a hole drilled in my car.

Wish your post 3000 was a happier one. I can't speak for the Camaro, but my CTS had to get the hole drilled. Fortunately mine was a straight up and down door ding and was easily removed. They put in a factory rubber plug, so no worries. However, would I let them drill my Camaro? That's a tough one. Honestly, that looks pretty wavey. Not sure they can do anything with that, but any reputable PDR person will assess that and tell you ahead of time. Good luck.

Given the various creases within the dented area, they might not be able to do it. My wife got a dent in hers near the front wheel well & they couldn't do it; got one in the door of my old truck no creases in the area or from the whatever caused the dent and they popped it right out ... paint wasn't damaged & it was as good as new.

Where exactly did they drill and is it visible?

Open your door, find a rather flat spot on the door jamb close to the damage. They drill about a 3/8 hole to get a tool in there. But again, I doubt they'll be able to help in your case. However, no reputable place will charge you just to look at it. Have them look and make the call.

I think the dent fits within the overall theme you and the car have going. Embrace it. Post 752!

I'm going to say probably not. I dented my front fender on that crease and took it to two body shops and the couldn't do it because of the fender crease. Estimates were $500 and $700 to fix.

Sorry Homeless, that looks beyond the scope of PDR.

Drilling holes used to be quite common in body work. They just fill it and you really never see it. These days, it's usually less work to just replace the section.

Wish I had a better answer, but that dent requires real body work. JMHO

On a side note, what gill accents are those? They look nice.

No way for PDR. Too much and large of a damage area.

You should at least consult with a PDR guy and see if they can work it out. If you can it worked out it may satisfy you and require less body work to finish repair.

Homeless man, I had one on the driver's side, rear 1\2 panel on the wheel opening. I used The Dent Guy 856-625-8567. I did not think he would be able to get the Dent out. He removed the rear interior panel and was able to access the area without drilling a hole. He spent about 3 hours on my car, took out two door dings, one ding on the fender and the 1\4 panel. Very clean. Charged me $180.00. He did it in my driveway. Good luck.

Out on youtube I've seen many clips showing Pro PDR techs that get that type dent out in similar location. The inner back fender liners are very thin and are easily partially removed to get behind them (I did when installing the OEM ZL1 stealth splash shields).
