Still running the P1SC head unit and meth injected? If yes, probably high IATs and flooding the manifold with meth. King did some IAT comparisons between his friend's P1SC compared to his whipple and verified that the P1SC was putting out some seriously high IATs.

Out of curiosity, are you seeing anything else in your HP Tuners charts dipping at the same time (fuel pressure low or high, timing, commanded torque) or KR spikes? Usually when that stuff happens there will be a correlating factor elsewhere.

See if it repeats on the Dyno. My brothers ZL1 showed the same Dip on one pull and everything in the log looked fine.

Yes it does. 2 different dynos. The log does not look anywhere as dramatic as you would think. I see it drop like maybe 50 60 rpms then build back up right before shift

Maybe I dont have the car set up right. How should I do it, not many around here know anything about this car. I basically was doing it on my own.
I did traction control one push off and put in manual shift one dyno in 6th. The one u see then later another dyno in 5th. Added speed works headers got 685 but my meth was not working right, and different dyno. |

So ironically enough, I had this same exact conversation with my builder/tuner at Katech. I am picking up my ZL1 next week but I got the dyno graph today (see attached).
What I was told is this : "That’s actually the oil pump solenoid tuning on. It creates a momentary dip in the power. There are certain parameters that it has to hit for the solenoid to turn on. One is oil temp. If he cooled it down a bunch and made another pass it would likely get rid of that but it doesn’t effect power so there isn’t a need to do that." From my understanding the car drives amazingly well & all other data that was shown during the tune is exactly where it's supposed to be. Katech has been nothing but stellar to this point and this is my 2nd round of mods to my ZL1 with them. The first time everything was absolutely flawless. We'll see when I get the car but I have zero worries and high expectations. FYI, I have the Katech Billet LT1/LT4 Wet Sump Oil Pump in my ZL1 as well.

interesting great power by the way. Bet that car is a beast wow.
I notice that it happens right at the same rpm just after 6000. thanks for sharing that. I guess mine is not the only one but I see tons like on youtube that dont do that. |

my na car did the same thing around 6100 rpm. it consistently lost 5-6 hp. tuner said it was the oil pump.

so I rn across this by accident today.
Now for the results I dyno’d the car earlier in the day with stock Ported intake and don’t mind the dip after 5900 on the lt1 run. I forgot to bump the shifter out of tutd before 5900 with these 10 speeds it will drop a clutch to anticipate the shift you can see it grab back after I bumped it over. https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showt...ght=lt2+spacer |

That dip IS there even on my 2022 LT1 that just got the 2650 Magnuson kit installed a couple days ago at Davenport. No other mods on the car other than the kit. Here is the dyno chart. Note that the run was made at 3557 foot elevation in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and I'm not sure that the SAE correction formula can give totally accurate results at that elevation. (Note the obscene correction factor)
