Never had a GTR but I use my camaro to transport my twin 13 year old daughters to and from practices during the week. Not a big deal for a 10 minute drive. The trunk is decent size but it has a small hole to get stuff in.

TRADED GTR

Traded in my 2016 GTR for the ZL1 and neither car has room in the back seat. The GTR might have an 1" or two over the ZL1 and if you are short you can move the seat up enough to fit a small child. In the GTR the wife had room behind her for a teenager her. I would have to move drivers seat up to fit another child behind me. This cannot be done in the camaro as the couple of inches made a big difference when it comes to room for feet in the back.

Get an M5. The rear seats in cars like the Camaro and 911 are just for "show" really and places where you can put groceries or lay a golf bag or something down across the seat. I'm only 5'11" and my seat is right up against the rear seats.

I've previously owned a GTR. Both rear seats are pretty useless in my opinion. At least with the GTR the suspension is much softer than the ZLE. I would hate to ride in the back of a ZLE with that harsher suspension.
You're better off buying a beater for the kids and fun car for yourself when you don't have to drive them around.
How are you getting the ZLE into the UK? It's banned, right?

Also these are very two different cars. Depends on what you plan on doing with the car.

1 LE can be registered in the UK.
I have seen one and importers can have them legalized.
Have seen them advertised in Luxembourg and Germany, so yes they can be road legal in Europe.
Yes different cars, like the ZL1 a lot, rare here in Europe, and bloody fast.
Just trying to figure out which one will upset the wife the most!

As far as the back seats go, I can tell you this for sure, the GTR back seats offer MUCH more room than the ZL1. It seems hard to believe, but it is true. I take my son and his girlfriend out on runs all the time, and I can say that she can get in and out of the GTR's back seats with ease, much easier than the Camaro. Sitting in the back seat of the GTR she says is OK, even on long trips she is very comfortable. My son moves his seat up a bit to give extra legroom, but he still ends up with plenty of room (Thanks Nissan!)
Onto the ZL1, Getting her into the back seats is a bit more of a chore. My son also moves the seat up to give her additional legroom, but it is never enough, she is cramped, and head is touching the roof. He is also almost knee pinned into the dash. Most of the time she has to literally sit sideways in the back seat to be comfortable at all. On a long drive, it is almost intolerable.
Surprising considering the seemingly bigger size of the Camaro, but it is what it is!
