From my datalog. The air fuel is extra rich with the rotofab, EVERYWHERE... You are loosing throttle with the extra boost and no tune. I can see that for sure.

I do believe it would probably pick up more power with a tune but I'm happy with it right now. I don't notice near as much black smoke as I did before the pulley install so I would say it leaned it some but nothing worth worrying about. |

Just in case someone wants some measurements or some pic's of the pulley installed.

Well I went ahead and ordered headers with a griptech 2.30 upper pulley! I'll let you guys know how it is once I get everything installed!

I just wanted to say that this method works. I used a puller I bought from Z-Industries (the guys who make Griptec) to remove the stock pulley, then installed it with the oven/ shrink-fit method. The key is to be fast. Took me a few tries, but it worked.

Did your pulley end up close to my measurement that I have pictured? |

I ended up just seating the hub all the way against the bearing like the instructions said. It still wasn’t quite flush with the shaft. I took another measurement after bolting the pulley on, and it was very close. I’d say within 0.1 mm of where the stock one sat. The belt looks good and seems to be well aligned. My AFR didn’t change at all, and it’s now making a hair over 12 psi peak. |

Glad to see everyone here willing to work on their ride. On a boosted car tuning is very important. On these Gen V motors they come with a lot of limiting factors as well. Adding significant boost can upset your virtual torque tables which can pull timing and throttle. You can also run into knock very easily on this platform and all these things reduce power. So these mods that you are adding aren't going to respond 100% because you are losing power on the back end without a proper tune. A 2.3" blower pulley isn't going to add a ton of boost on this motor. You can probably get by without a tune for some time but in the end you are still leaving power on the table. That being said if you're local our services are on the table. Always discounted for board members.

I don’t think it’s a good idea for anyone to do this without tuning. Not only will you probably get throttle closure issues, but you’ll probably get quite a bit of KR. |

I wouldn’t have done it without my wideband setup, but it indeed didn’t change. And it really shouldn’t on this engine, assuming the MAF and VE are accurate. I’d be worried about KR on your setup, though. I’m getting some that I need to work on.
