Highly recommend the ZL1addons tow hook mount.
I ordered the sto n show originally but it looks terrible. The car is too pointy to have a flat plate right at the front. Ruins the look of a rather expensive car. The tow hook mount actually looks pretty good even though I despise front plates. |

+1 on ZL1 Addons tow hook mount. I love the look, very sporty looking, compared to the regular centered plate holders.
I used to have the sto n sho on my 2014 Camaro and it was cool, no complaints, but the ZL1 Addons one just looks so much better.

I concur, hate the look of the front plate dead smack in the center of the grille

There's always the option of getting a decal like this guy did... pretty slick, imo

He hasn't gotten hassled for it so it seems to work. Its better than nothing, which stands out way more than a decal. at first glance it really wouldn't draw much attention.

I live by a police station and have yet to have a front plate issue with them. Have not run one on any of my Vettes or the new ZL1. In SoCal you are most likely to get a front plate ticket as an add-on ticket (stopped for another violation such as speeding then adding on no front plate) or when you are parked in public...they will get you for everything when you are parked ...so just don't stop anywhere Patrol officers will rarely stop you for only no front plate...just not worth it for them to do that. Come to think of it....I just went to a Police picnic event and parked between two police squad cars face out and still did not get a ticket...lol |

Hey I think I saw that exact car w/ the decal when I was getting my H pipe installed. The guy was getting the Borla Atak catback done. Anyhoo, I liked the decal, but I think it would depend on the officer. A "by the book" guy who wants to pop you I believe would say that's not a "legal" plate etc. I also run without one, have it in the trunk. I have the black plates, which I like versus the ugly white CA plates, so I may just bite the bullet and get the ZL1 addons piece.

As far as cops bugging about them, where i live, there are like 5 motorcycle cops that do nothing but give petty tickets... they work hard at meeting and exceeding their quota. Idk about where you guys live, but if you see these biker cops, avoid them like the plague!
I know too many people who have gotten tickets for plates and other petty crap. One friend of mine even had a cop trying to give him a ticket for his exhaust, even tho it was the stock NPP lol. I was sitting passanger when it happened. No other violations, we were cruising at speed limit on our way to get burgers. But anyway, just play it safe. I would probably not risk it with the vynil. ZL1 Addons tow hook plate mount for the win.

Lots of great advice here. I do perfer the ZL1 add-on after looking at the pics. The only thing I don't like is the ability to remove it as quickly as the sto-n-go. Im going to give the stongo a chance to see if that 1/2 in clearance is a big deal. If not I may just keep it. That decal tho has got to be the best darn idea of all tho!!
