That looks way better than even the original promo pic made by GM. I'm not such a big fan of having a black stripe on the roof + black heat extractor which makes it feel like a design element is abruptly stopping in the middle of the hood where it shouldn't. I feel they should either continue the black stripe down to the edge of the hood like the one we've mocked up in some of our renderings, or just nix the stripe entirely from the roof and trunk and just black out the spoiler. It creates a simpler sense of balance between the front and rear.

Actually, regardless of whether there's a stripe or not running from the trunk to the hood, I think the spoiler would look way better blacked out. Otherwise, you've got this weird sort of Hitler stache thing going on with the stanchion spoiler and it looks too busy.

Gents, this is fantastic! Great work. Any chance you can black out the mirrors and rear spoiler? I'm hopeful that will be an option similar to the Z06. I really like the look.

Holy awesome, this is exactly what I want! I wasn't totally taken with the Gen 6 when it first came out. I went to the Chevy dealer, saw one in person and thought it looked ok, but it didn't really light my fire. Then the 1LE was announced and I thought it looked much better with the splitter and awesome wheels (with the wide tires). The ZL1 was announced and totally changed my opinion of the car. Now I think it looks awesome.....this render with the blacked out mirrors and rear spoiler is nirvana for me. I have my current ZL1 the same and I love it......wow!

I dabbled in Photoshop for quite a while, your right it's not hard, just TEDIOUS lol. These all look really good.

Would someone mind doing black with the hood dome piece green? Maybe the bow tie too? Unless it's a Flow-tie then change the chrome green? Whichever you fancy doing I'll appreciate it just the same lol.

The blackout is kind of a homage to how the 5th gen ZL1 had a lower grill that appeared to hug the road — it had a continuous black finish all the way to the asphalt with no body color to break things up. I tried blacking out all 3 sections of the grill to see how it would look as a design experiment, but I think this detracts too much from the shape of the front bumper. I then decided to create a version that only blacks out the center-most part of the lip. It's this last rendering that ended up the best IMO because it bears the strongest resemblance to the outgoing ZL1, which was and still isn't a bad looking car.
can we get this in white please?

Hey, can you gurus do some of the same colors you've done, but in flat?

Not sure if flat will show up well or not, but I'd like to see some.

Thank you for your efforts.

Thanks!

I had a 5th gen ZL1 in a former life...and I loved the carbon fiber hood insert. Then I had 5th gen 1LE, and I loved the black spoiler/splitter vs the silver paint. So this puts both together.

I'd like to give the car this look when I get it. Should be fairly simple to remove the mirrors and spoiler, and paint them.

That is awesome looking. I imagine the power dome with exposed carbon fiber will be an option similar to the 5th Gen.
