Check out Lashway Motor Sports in Ft Lauderdale. They did work on my 2012 SS/RS and are great. Just google them or check them on Youtube.

All boils down to this. If you get in a ZLE and it feels better, go for it. Having been a test dummy on cars for GM, the ZLE is the one of the only cars i drove and got out and said “thats a PROPER car” . I intend to buy one, but it will be beside my Z/28, not instead of it.

Zle is awesome. I would get bored in an auto personally. The tour/sport button only effects the steering feel, not suspension. Are you positive you drove a 1le? Black hood and huge wing? On the 6 forum, all the zle owners say it rides rougher then the z28. If your not going to track a zle, it’s no way worth it, get a reg zl1. 90% of the track capability, much more live-able on the street.

I am 100% positive I test drove a brand new 2019 Automatic ZL1 1LE. Huge carbon fiber wing, dive plains etc.

The base ZL1 has mag-ride so of course it's a very soft / good suspension.

I even test drove a used base model 2018 ZL1 but it did nothing for me.

Got to test drive a ZLE at the end of One Lap, and I've got to say, its everything I could want. But......it will be an addition to my Z, as it's not going anywhere.

The ZL1 1LE 'Tour Mode' does NOT affect the dampening, that is 100% fixed on the ZL1 1LE via the same style spool valve dampers you have in your Z28. What you are getting in touring mode is an NPP that is 100% closed under 4K and 100% closed at startup (if you left it in tour mode) and steering that is very light. The suspension is ONLY effected in the ZL1 (with MRC) when you change drive modes. That is a fact.

The ZL1 and ZL1 1LE are very quick on track and comfy, a bit smaller than the Z28. You can't go wrong with either car.

The only thing that bothered me test driving the 2019 ZL1 1LE yesterday was the lack of lumbar support (lower back area of driver seat). Other than this, I love the 2019 ZL1 1LE and now the new Automatic (A10) is icing on the cake for those of us who don't like a stick.

Is it possible to modify the driver seat in some way, adding lumbar support?

I had a porsche boxster spyder with gt2 seats with no lumbar support. I bought a lumbar support foam cushion for 20 bucks at walmart and it worked great.

I understand but a $75.000.00 top of the line Camaro should have good lumbar support.

Hard to argue that. If you can have both then heack yea.

Short answer: No.
Long Answer: Not in a million years. I like some aspects of the ZLE, like the wing, but overall I'll take my Z/28 over one any day. I love the way I feel connected with the road through every contact point (seat, wheel, pedals, shifter), I love the feedback I receive and I love how pushing it the way I have has only just barely scratched the surface of what this thing can do. And, with the upgrades 21st Century Muscle Car are doing (and fixes... rockers and head problems), 650bhp will be monumentally more satisfying. Even more so when I get it to 675-700.

The ZLE is a marvel of engineering and always impresses me, but I am a NA or turbo guy only. I am not a fan of superchargers, heatsoak, and everything else you can run into.

Lastly, if you never plan to track the car you are doing yourself a disservice and, more importantly, you are impeding your skills as a driver. THIS is the car that can teach you to be a better driver on and off the track. Don't waste that opportunity.

Two of the best camaro's ever. Would love to have both. The Z is just so raw, nothing else like it. Drove mine this morning and it just brings smiles. If you're an NA guy this is the one.
