Do TSP Headers need rear O2 extensions?

Hey guys,

I am installing 1 7/8" TSP headers+x-pipe on my 2017 1LE and have used the 1 included O2 extension on the driver's front O2 sensor. My driver's rear O2 sensor (both connection ends are gray) are about 10" apart. Is a rear driver side O2 extention needed or am I missing something? I see no way to pull down the car side of the plug because it is on top of the transmission.

Unfortunately TSP is closed this week...

Nope just unplug the connectors and put plugs in the x-pipe for the two rear O2 sensors. Your tuner can turn off the rear O2 sensors.

I wasn't going to tune until I did e85. I'm bone stock besides the headers.

Well in that case you have two options you can either plug the rear O2 bungs or call BBK I think they have a set of extensions out now for the rear O2s. If you just plug them you will have several codes pop up related to them not being connected. How long till you can tune your car? Adding headers on the stock tune is going to have you running lean so I wouldn't be doing any full throttle pulls and keep the rpms down.

I don't have cats, so it looks like the best route is to tune out the rear o2's and add e85 while I'm getting a tune.

Do you have any pictures of their xpipe? You are one of the first to post about installing it.

Find a better tuner...

You can just tune the rear 02s out in hp tuners software and problem solved. Seems like you were upsold for no reason... or the tuner isnt that experienced.

I was refering to the high flow cats... which rob HP and 9/10 still throw a code

I think he was referring to the rear O2 sensors being plugged in for the "better" tune, not the cats.

The rear o2's are for reading catalyst efficiency and have little to do with engine fueling. Most with headers or cat delete's turn them off in the ECU.
