Anyone used a Modern Spare wheel for a skinny?

Bought a "Modern Spare" wheel/tire on Ebay to solve the no spare issue.

Sorry I don’t understand you issue. The spare wheel is just a spare wheel you should not drive with it for 100mile and not faster than 60mph. Just use it if you have a flat tire.

I think the OP is asking if the wheel itself could be used as a skinny for the front of the car in a drag race scenario, understanding that the low speed tire would have to be changed.

My thought would be to make sure a conventional street tire will work with the bead seat of the wheel. I wouldn’t be surprised if the rim is designed specifically for the temp style tire. Beyond that, I don’t know what kind of trap spreeds your looking at, or weight transfer the front wheels may see, but I’d be leery!

Oh yes, sorry I am not used to the drag races as we use more the track over here. But I agree first of all is the load and the speed index important and if the wheel really fit snug into the rim.

I think The forgestar f14 front skinny is under $250ea. A buddy of mine got a full set up 15x10 and 17x4 with lugs front radial skinnus and rear 325/50/15 all for under $2k including mounting and balance.

Yosh6, that looks like a GTO or CTSV spare. People have been using them as skinnies for years now in the Corvette community without issue.

GM Performance Parts now sells a Weld skinny for our cars.

No way I'd use that thing at 100+ mph. And the price is crazy too, but you're also paying for a tire.
