I've never polished the paint on a car with an orbital, so I thought I'd practice on a 2008 BMW 328i before doing my car.
Washed with Dawn, clayed with a fine grade NanoSkin Autoscrub Speedy Prep Sponge, polished using Blackfire Total Polish and Seal with a Griots Garage 6-inch orbital and a Lake Country white pad, washed again, and applied one coat of Blackfire Crystal Seal.

meguires pro synthetic polymer with about 400 miles on car, nothing else done, yet. I did have to buff out some slight paint problems from when I bought it (I'd rather do it than dealer), but I haven't shown those.
