Whipple rattle/grinding

I finished my whipple install and I read all the forums before I did it about the "whipple noise" and sure enough I have a terrible noise at idle. Whipple says it should go away at about 500 miles. It sounds terrible. Looking for any advice and experience with this problem.

It sounds a little noisy, but I wouldn’t be too worried about it. How many miles have you put on the car since the install?

It might be the coupler up front in the snout. I'm assuming the Whipple has a coupler.

I have a Whipple on my car as well. The shop that installed mine called Whipple and sent them a sound bite of the car idling and was a little noisy , but Whipple said it was perfectly normal. Hope this helps.

Wow, another white Whipple! Very nice!

That noise sounds similar to mine at low idle. Once the engine RPM speeds up a bit that noise will go away. When you start to push the blower a little harder with different pulley sizes, you’ll notice it even less since the blower will spin a little faster then too.

My Magnuson started making the same noise at 10000 miles on the blower. They replaced the internal components for me, but it soon returned. I am at 20k with the new internals, sound is still there, sounds like shit, but what are you going to do. Nothing has exploded, sucks though to get that ugly chick look when others hear it.
