First 11 Second 6th Gen Camaro - Dec 5, 2016
It all came together today. The car far exceeded my expectations in every way. Timeslips are attached. Here are some details.
2SS, MRC, NPP, Auto, 6 Piston Front Brembos SGMP Scale weight (w/o Driver): 3715 Driver Weight: 225 Fuel: 1/2 full, 93 Octane Other: Floor mats, fire extinguisher, all fluid levels full Run Details 12.070 Run - Bone stock (as delivered) - Stock tires, 35 psi front, 22 rear - Mode: Track - Traction Control: Off - Launch: In drive, 1/2 throttle launch from idle - Control: Dead straight, no drama, no wheel hop - Impression: Hero run and hard to duplicate, ran multiple 12.20s with traction control on and full throttle, very small variance in time or mph, first to second shift is very quick so hard to consistently do partial throttle starts and not blow the tires away 11.913 Run - Bone stock (as delivered) - Stock Front tires, 35 psi - MT Drag radials rear, 295/45/17, 18 psi, Weld ZL1 recommended wheels, 1/2" clearance at closest point, no rubbing - Mode: Track - Traction Control: Off - Launch: In Drive, full throttle launch from idle - Control: Dead straight, no wheel hop, can feel slight movement at 3/4 track - Impression: Should have another tenth or tenth and a half in this configuration; not much faster than stock tires but way more consistent when you can just give it full throttle Last edited by trz174; 12-06-2015 at 05:00 PM. Badass. Thanks for the slip. Very interesting stuff. A little faster 60 than I thought and a tad slower mph. My guess was off. lol

So how close does this put the 2016 SS to the '14 and '15 A6 ZL1 off the showroom floor typical times? Is it about equal or a few 1/10's off?

Nice times. Congrats. Good thing I silently troll the clowns over on the 'other' forum. Every excuse in the book is being made right now. Hero runs coming in the high 11's soon. No slight to the driver of this Camaro tho. haha. I wouldn't of done any better so. Hurry up with the Z already Chevy.

I was skeptical when Chevy announced the performance claims about it being this quick and faster than the present 1LE but if anything GM may have been holding out on its performance a bit. Put a similar 1LE package under this 6th Gen and watch out.

Shouldn't be a CEL light but there is a separate light for TPMS malfunction on most cars with the systems.
Excellent times. Definitely some more available on the DRs with the stock tires cutting similar 60 ft times. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk
