Thank you !
I’m in then process of getting another 6th gen so I’m definitely going to get one now.

How is the range of the remote?

It’s winter here and the car is in storage so I didn’t do exhaustive testing. The unit seems to work from one car length away but not two. Range may be a moot issue. It always works when I’m in the car, but I wasn’t able to get remote start to work with it. I won’t go into the details, but no sequence of “lock” and “unlock” buttons on the Camaro remote seemed to power up the relay so I could enable it with the relay remote. This might be a side effect of how they use power to automatically disable starting after the car is shut down. My car is garaged and stored for winter so remote start isn’t an issue for me, but it might be for others. If you want/need remote start then you might want to contact the vendor to see if they support it before you buy one.

Store your keys in a Faraway bag. Use a steering wheel bar. Pull the FP or other fuse, etc.

I'm not at all concerned that thieves would A. find this thread out of a sea of threads, B. associate specific vehicles mentioned with owners, and C. go through the effort of trying to nick a vehicle that has been modified in an undisclosed manner, assuming they can find the vehicle somewhere in the U.S.

If anything, threads like this help sow seeds of doubt that all Camaros are easy targets. Thieves will just move onto easier prey.

I just looked at their website - written in “infomercial” style, not available everywhere, little real technical information about their product.

I wouldn’t recommend this at all on our Camaros. Looks very amateur.

Agreed about the website, they could use a refresh from their early 2000s page but it is a legit product.

I know you meant to say Faraday bag, but I guess if you keep your keys in a Far Away bag, that would work too, LOL.

I had this installed on my Chevy SS, they came to my house to install it, and it worked as advertised. I very rarely "promote" an item, but this works, and they were very professional about the install. The installer had never done an install on a Chevy SS before, so he reached out to other installers and did his homework before making the trip to my place. For the money, time, effort and peace of mind, it was well worth it to me. For each their own, I guess.

That’s great if it really works, I’d consider it. But I need more technical information than their website gives before I want anyone touching my car.

Our cars aren’t old school 12v standard electrical systems anymore. Yes it’s 12 volts from the battery to the alternator but after that it’s all sensitive variable voltage and data that controls everything on our cars today. Even the horn goes through the body control module.

Here is a crazy idea. What if you installed a console switchplate from Emblempros - https://www.emblempros.com/inc/sdetail/54415/90135. It supports up to 9 switches. Cut the + lead to the start switch and wire it to the switchplate. You could wire up to 9 switches in series. Install some of the switches backwards so that on is off and off is on. This way only a certain pattern of the switches being on/off will allow power to the start switch. Only you would know it is there and only you would know the pattern required to complete the circuit. It would probably also allow remote start to function as long as remote start does not need power to the start switch.

Like I said just a wild idea. Just trying to think outside the box.

Great idea! but not sure if remote start would work? It seems to have quite a bit of safety features that need to be in line before it will remote start. For example, if the hood is open and scenarios like that
