My brother-in-law just bought a '15 ZL1 in the Blue Velvet. Stunning color. Looks dark blue at one angle, kind of a purple/blue from another. At night it looks black. Really nice color IMO.

I think the blue velvet would look amazing with the black accents from a 1LE package.

My 13' is blue ray metallic and I figured this color would be the best to match when I get the 16'. I really wish there was more pictures though!

Oh, crap. Didn't realize blue velvet was different from blue ray. Isn't blue ray the same paint as night race blue on the stingray? Had my heart set on that color. :-\

Yes it is. The colors are very similar though. If you like Blue Ray I dont see how you could possibly not like Blue Velvet. I think Blue Velvet is the better looking of the 2 because the dark blue tone seems to be much richer. With Blue Ray, if this makes sense, I see more dark blue/grey and purplish tones.

I tried to find similar pics in similar lighting to show what Im trying to say.

Blue Velvet

Blue Ray

Nah, totally makes sense. Unfortunately, the blue/grey tones were what I really liked. I liked the fact that it was basically cyber gray metallic with a healthy dose of blue flake thrown in. If for some reason I decide to stick with corvette instead of moving over to the camaro, definitely getting NRB. Guess I'll have to see blue velvet in person. Maybe I'll fall in love.

I'm thinking either of the two blues or the metallic black (forgot the name). I've had too many white or metallic red cars. Need to expand my palette.

Close to the same. I'm thinking dark blue, gray, or the metallic black. Wife has a pearl white car and I have a dark green GMC and a bright red Corvette. All about the darker colors. Only got the Corvette because the price was right. It's growing on me, but I'm ready to go back to something a little less.... noticeable.

I choose Blue Velvet Metallic with black wheels and red line. Also red stripes on the side and i find that veery nice !

Yes, I've noticed that Blue Velvet Metallic does not get the attention that some other Camaro colors get. I like Hyper Blue, but will probably become a dime a dozen after the 6th gen has been on the market for awhile.
