So glad I bought one, TPW 11/14. Now my bucket list will be the Nurburgring to best that incredible time. I was impressed for sure. I am wondering about the track improvements.. hard to compare without running the Gen5 on the same track.

Cornering speeds is where time is lost or made up especially on lighter weight lower hp handling cars, that's why the last gen Z/28 was faster than the last gen ZL1. It also was able to brake much later and deeper due the CC brakes, tires and the suspension work along with the improved aero downforce setup.

The Z/28 had a lower top speed but it was able to carry more speed confidently thru the corners than the 80 hp more powerful and heavier ZL1 from the past. Momentum cars.

I can't wait for next summer!!! AHHH!!
Question: Is Z/28 (Z28) generally placed below ZL1 or above, price wise?
Another words, should the next Z28cost less or more than 2017 ZL1?

Sorry, I'm not an expert on Camaro line.

They need to re run the Z28 again with the same driver who just drove the new ZL1 on a dry track and see what the results will come out to be. He seems to be a more aggressive driver.

A lot of the guys over on MG6 are great guys. There's definitely a few brand loyal fan-boys over there who argue against the Camaro no matter what, but there's the same type of people of the opposite side of the coin over here.

I for one am ready for the GT500 to come out and hope it performs as well as some of them are claiming. I'm also hoping they drop the 10 speed in it. Why you ask? Because competition like that makes each successive attempt at Chevy/Ford creating the next best Camaro/Mustang that much better.

That being said. I'm still buying the Camaro.

Its suprising how close the cars are until the Z/28 starts sliding.

There's little doubt that the next/new Z/28 will beat this time. As they test, they learn, and the new Z/28 will beat this time, guaranteed.

He actually had to let off going around the corner. If he would have stayed in it it would have been faster slightly down hill. The ZL1 was able to stay in it.

Overall, the ZL1 looks rock steady, and the driver didn't appear to be fighting it as much as the ZR1. The downshifts are amazing. Its pretty awesome how the computer is set to automatically downshift to keep the car in the 5k rpm range when braking so when you get back into the gas it isn't hunting for power. I'm a manual guy, but wow, that is awesome.

It seems they took off where they left off the the 5th gen A6. I love how aggressive the car is in manual mode. The A6 also selects the right gear when downshifting on it own, it would be fantastic with 10, very little drop off in rpm so the car stays smooth.
