SS warranty for track?

I've tried searching, but can't find anything about this.

Does anyone know if the SS (2019, non-1LE) is warrantied for track use? I'd like to do some track days, but I'm getting a bit of a run-around trying to figure out if I'd be under warranty if something blew up. (Assuming of course that I followed all the instructions on properly prepping the car for track use.)

yes but car has to be 100% stock or have only gm performance parts on it

my car isnt covered lol

You should have also got a track pack for the front brakes when you got the car.
There is a section in your owners manual about what to do when you take the car to the track

I always wondered what Camaro models are covered For track use?
I know the SS, 1LE, and ZL1 are covered for track warranty.
I figured the base and LT models are not.

yea i wish i knew about that option when i got the car...i mean the 1le wasnt even out yet otherwise i would have just waited for that oh well

I don't think he's referring to an option, I think he means the bag of parts for the front brakes that came with my SS. The air deflector and small splash guards.

My car is bone stock, other than tires. I hope that's not something likely to be an issue?

oh gotcha yea i have those installed and i just leave them on my car year round lol i live in cali and only drive it on the weekends and stuff

I'd look into track insurance as well if you are that concerned about warranty coverage at the track. The term "you have to pay to play" comes to mind...

And does anyone know for sure the base and LT models are not covered for track use?

Let's suppose something broke, how would they even know you were on the track?

This is correct and if you have a motor failure you can be sure GM will pull the onboard and any OnStar data to see why.
