Looks about the same size as a S10 blazer...

Yes but this will be a FWD crossover with no ability to blaze any trails. Anyone who had a Trailblazer before for its utility will be sorely disappointed with a Trax size vehicle.

Weird. Once again.
I figured they'd save the nameplate for a Bronco fighter maybe. Or at least a half-assed off-road focused Blazer in AT4 vein.

They changed the name of the Trax to the TrailBlazer. GM has all these SUV's yet they are still missing the one that no one else has any longer.
Bring back the fullsize Tahoe 2door. There is a reason why the fullsize 2 doors of the freaking 90's are commanding some good money in the auctions. I love mine, but damn I would love it even better if it had a 6.2L and a 10speed and the updated modern conveniences. Last edited by Expunge; 04-16-2019 at 08:38 AM. |

I never understood the appeal of a 2 door full size SUV

The blazer looks decent but this one just looks like a smashed down version, not a fan

Full size, v8, 4x4, that seats 4, has a short wheel base, and turns on a dime.
I don't understand why there are 6 different flavors of SUV's, especially when everything smaller than a Tahoe is FWD. Why are there 3 mid-size SUV's? |

There aren't. Even if you don't distinguish between SUVs and crossovers, there is still only 1 midsize Chevy 'box on wheels': the Blazer. The Traverse is full-size, as is the Tahoe and Suburban. The Equinox is compact and the Trailblazer sounds like its going to be a subcompact since its replacing the Trax. If they are over-crowding a segment, its the full size.

nothing about that is "trail" I wish they would do different name plates. Should name it cute little road blazer.. this market is way to flooded with these things... Won't go on a tangent, as we all know what happened with the "blazer" threads.

Chevy has been killing it with their CUV/SUV modern lineup. I am really glad this is replacing the Trax. The Trax rides on an outdated platform that is not comfortable nor is it good for utility. It's also not a good looking car. This new CUV will address all those problems considering what Chevy has been putting out lately. Will be especially good for younger folks who want utility/awd but not a big vehicle like the Equinox(which has been killing it as well).

I thought the TRAX was selling a ton.. Why name change IDK.. I also loved the 2 door full-size SUV as a side note..

I was about to say "Why the heck do they need ANOTHER new SUV/CUV thingy?" but then I saw they are replacing the Trax with this. OK...I'm fine with that. No probs.
Except...I think they should have just kept the Trax name. Trailblazer feels wrong here, but whatever.
