Wicker Bill questions
Just received my zl1 add-ons wicker bill. I ordered the wide stealth wicker bill.. it only cam with some small bolts and washers. No rivet nuts, etc. When I emailed support they replied that the rivet nuts are not needed for install and that the bolts go into my stock spoiler. Is it even possible to install it without rivets/rivnuts??

Update: zl1 add-ons advised that it will secure to my stock spoiler if I use an 11/64 drill bit to create a hole and then insert the bolts. I don't see how this will work.. the holes don't even seem to align properly with my spoiler. Anyone have any advice? I will post pictures later if needed.

That doesn’t make sense at all. My wickerbill from them came with rivnuts.

I want to know how to use the tool they sent me for rivnuts! A part is missing or something, I got mine to fit properly just not real secure due to rivet nut gun inoperation.

I would think you will need the nutsert tool , I had to buy one on Amazon for $45. I bought the Chevy performance wickerbil though and it may be different.

It’s easy even my 9 year old did a few. My best suggestion is to watch a video on the tool it’s hard to explain Ryan B.

Hey guys sorry for the late reply, I installed it using an 11/64 drill bit and the provided hardware without rivnuts! I replied to someone on how I did it but now I can't find the message. Basically I lined it up, drilled my holed, but a little gorilla glue on the bolts for good measure and tightened them into the holes. It is secured tightly to my spoiler and has not become loose even after several days of high speed tests lol. The bolts they provided are just regular old bolts and are not self tapping. They have held up great so far and again, I did not have to use any rivets. If I can figure out how to post pics on here I will! Take your time and make sure it's even. Hold your drill level so that your bolts aren't angled too much when you tighten it down. Snug them but don't over do it might not hold right. Fairly easy install once you get past the drilling.
