A big hello from Ontario, Current 02 SS Owner..pics
Just want to say hello to this great community and make my first post. I am going through the ever hard debate in my mind between the 2021 V6 and V8. It will be a daily driver back and forth to work. Will be putting in my Order in the beginning of March.
Coming from a 345 HP 02 SS, will the V6 satisfy me for daily driving? Here are some pics of my current show car. |

Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5/6. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wives', husbands, girlfriends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.
oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here. Welcome!!

Get the V8 the difference in gas milage is insignificant.
I had a 2001 Firebird 3.8L as my DD before my Camaro and my 200HP V6 got the same mileage as my 400HP V8. The only difference is the V6 could run on regular(I used premium anyway) and the 6.2 runs on premium only. The High Feature V6 needs 89 minimum but runs best on 91 or 94 My G8 loves the extra octane

Dam looking at that Black beauty from what I can see. I can't say a bad thing about that stallion.

Thanks for the kind words, I have owned it since 2007 and has never seen a winter as you can tell. Unfortunately, whatever my 6th gen ride will be, it will have to sit outside in the driveway. My 4th gen is a little too fragile in her older years to be exposed to the elements.. |

Welcome, and kudos on a beautiful show car!
As for the V6 or V8 dilemma, I too am biased... If you pull the trigger on then V8 you’re gonna love that LT1. It’s a fantastic motor.

Thank you for the kind words......I am definitely leaning towards the LT1....I know I will never be satisfied with the V6.....but from an economy perspective I am sure it’s better...lol
