Total failure, something I am sure no BMW has ever suffered

My camaro's front blinker bulb on went out.

I wonder if this will require audi service position for simple bulb change ?

I had an A4, and that's exactly how I remember that piece of crap. It suffered a remarkable string of failures once out of the warranty period. Spent many a day in service position. Easily worst car I've ever owned. I don't condemn all audi's, but I know poor engineering when I see it.

EDIT: In fairness, that photo shows something a bit beyond "service position," but still...

I love my '04 A4. It's got over 150,000 miles on it and has been very reliable as well as a blast to drive in the snow. Putting in the service position made it incredibly easy to do the timing belt. Although the AWD made doing the clutch a bit of a challenge.

Added a bigger turbo, injectors, a FMIC, exhaust and some bigger brakes, it makes a great daily driver.

Looks like I'm short one functional 7440 bulb.

Long life or LED or regular ?

Might as well upgrade to the cross drilled brakes lines while I am under there.

Although 7440NA is supposed to fit the turn signal socket, it does so quite poorly, requiring what feels like enough force to pop the bulb.

Spec bulb for that location is WY21W.

The little feet/tabs that stick up on ends or the base are narrower than 7440 bulb.

I think ZLE needs rough service bulbs

Confirmed:

Basically, jam it in there or dremel off area in pink - or just order the RIGHT bulbs.

Had a 550 and wife an X3. Both with M package. Understand the "assume the position".
