Post Instrument cluster lens removal

I have some type of grime on my instrument cluster lenses. It's almost like some type of water grime. I tried everything to clean it but nothing works. i believe it actually could be on the inside of the lenses. Is there anyone out there that knows step by step without damaging anything how to remove the lenses of my speedometer and rpm gauges so i can clean them?

I've had mine apart a couple of times. Once to replace all the blue LEDs to white and once to replace one LED that burned out. There was a thread a few years ago that detailed how to take the cluster out and disassemble. If my memory serves me right I think it was by angelwings. Do a search and you should find it.

I was in the same boat. I thought the stain was on the inner side of the lenses after I tried many ways. However when I pulled the lenses out I found it perfectly clean from the inside. What's more, I don't think anything could possibly contaminate the inside after I realize how airtight it is made. So believe it or not, it IS on the outside!

Just buy some Invisible Glass wipes - they'll take that grime right off.

Instrument Cluster Lens

I have the same situation on my 2017 SS. It looks like water spots on the lens. I didn't notice it when I purchased the car. I've tried to clean the outside of the lens with windex, and some diluted Simple Green but nothing has seemed to work. So I too assumed it was one the inside, and was just about to begin the lens removal process. Kinda glad that I kept putting that job off. I'm gonna give that Invisible Glass a try.
