Torqueing front sway bar nuts: how?
I'm installing the nuts that are designed to fix the clunk that can occur when the nuts on the front end links become loose. Unfortunately, I cannot for the life of me get them torqued. I have a torque wrench, crows foot, etc, but after getting the nuts tight I can't really get any real movement out of them using my torque wrench. It's like they're super tight already or something.
I can't find any good guides on this. I found one video on youtube but it didn't really dive deep enough into it to figure out what's going on. |

I had to use an allen wrench in the center of the crows foot. Once I got an idea of how much force to apply I used a regular wrench because the crows foot kept slipping.

The bottom is similar, but not as bad. I gave up on torquing both and just used loctite and a lot of elbow grease. On the top I was able to use my impact to tighten it using the allen key hole while holding the nut with a wrench. |

6mm allen with a shorty 18mm wrench and tap it with a hammer in the correct direction (not scientific but it works and they haven't moved). Crow's foot method works also but clearance is difficult there. I also use a longer 18mm wrench to confirm "good & tight"
