Reading Ethanol Content
I just got a flex fuel tune for me SS. I want to get a gauge that will read the ethanol content so I know how much e85 to 91 octane mixture I should use. Anybody have any insight on which I should get?

For me I like the Banks iDash 1.8 SuperGauge. It will show ethanol and so much more.
https://www.bankspowerproducts.com/B...ge-p/66560.htm HP Tuners works too, I just didn’t want to tote the tablet around anymore

I just looked at that banks one and it looks super nice. Other people said that banks didn’t read e content? Maybe yours is more updated? It seams like it’s a good bed being it plugs right into your obdII
Also yes hp is great and ngauges but i don’t necessarily wanna spend hecka money just to read e lol |

Yeah I believe it was G2K that actually had an earlier version and he flashed it to get the “E” to read. I ordered straight from Banks and also downloaded the firmware. When going through the process, it mentioned the update was already installed. Overwrite?? No need.
Now, out of the box I went to setup the gauge layout and no “E”. Come on, it stated it was the latest version. I recall seeing the vehicle types in the setup menu and after selecting GM the “E” worked fine. If you’re comfortable that is the gauge you want, I can say that if you get it from Banks you should be good to go.

why are you mixing e85 and 91? the SS can handle E85.

So im going to be running the i-dash also but I called Banks and said that that there system doesn't have that it works with 2020 only with a 2018. Which obviously its the same so tbey sent me a text gauge so tbey can update there system. So most likely it will work with the new firmware.

I use fuel-it, it's a bluetooth adapter that hooks up to your fuel line and sends the info to your phone. I didn't want a gauge in my car for a more stock appearance.
