Is there any updates if something like this has ever been fixed? Found mine with the same issues and it’s devastating

On the few chassis that I've seen set up for competition track use the strut towers were cut out and moved for geometry reasons. Take it for what it's worth but I would only deal with it if mine broke and I had no other option but to stay with it.

It might not be that big of a deal if you can drill out some rivets and replace it, but a body shop would need to get it on a rack to check for any other damage, and if it gets on the carfax it will result in diminished value if it's considered structural damage.

There are not only rivets holding that to the motor compartment, but also structural adhesive. That is going to be a son of a gun to replace. To repair it.......you need to be a pretty skilled welder to handle cast aluminum..
Structurally, I'd have to say let the GM techs do it. I wonder what insurance would say about it.
Iroc, do you know what event took your tower out? Accident, curb, pothhole, shenanigans?

This is what GM says in #19-NA-110 - Visible Cracks in Shock Tower Near Strut Top Mount

Some customers may comment on seeing cracks on the
shock tower, near the strut top mount. Some examples
are shown in the graphics.

Note: Be sure to inspect additional suspension
components and disassemble the tire/wheel
assembly to verify no other components are
damaged.

The cause of the condition may be a hard impact (such as
curb or pot hole) that drives a lot of energy up through the
strut tower casting, ultimately cracking it.

To repair this condition, the shock tower must be replaced.
Refer to Front Wheelhouse Panel Replacement (Partial)
or Front Wheelhouse Panel Replacement (Complete) in SI.

Note: Vehicles repaired for the conditions outlined in
this bulletin should not be considered warranty. Any
warranty claims submitted with these conditions may
be debited.

This is old now but I'd have asked the seller why he didn't have it repaired either under warranty or as an insurance claim. (thanks to carguy55 above on why it's not a warranty repair).

Obviously that used car is a hard pass. It could be repaired to be good as new, but that's not the most likely outcome. Now if it had a salvage title and you got it for a song then maybe it would be worth it. Maybe.
